The doctors said I was allergic to PPD which I see in all commercial hair dyes. I noticed my scalp BURNING, and then, as I gently rinsed my hair and applied the conditioner….GASP!!! PTDS is rated in the Skin Deep database as being worse than PPD – it received an 8 as opposed to PPD’s 7. My hair has thinned to the point I only have half the hair I normally have!!

It has and continues to be rough dealing with the Anger of this situation. Dig deeper and read the reviews about Madison Reed, not the reviews they sponsor, but from real clients. The color activator, barrier cream, and cleansing wipes contain fragrance – sometimes listed as “parfum.” Most companies do not disclose fragrance ingredients to US consumers, despite the fact that a lot of people have allergies to fragrance, because they are not required to do so by law. It’s helped and people say It’s looking better but my hair grows very slow.. will keep the vitamins. This Madison Reed color is more like a level 5-6.
I now use Beautiful Collection moisturizing color by Claire I buy it at Sallys .I buy B15w dark warm brown and gold color mix them half and half. I was alarmed by the rate of loss. My hair and scalp have never recovered. Times are hard for all of us. Thanks and keep going on with this amazing blog.
